On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,232. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.567 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,903.

Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.572 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 521.854 million, WTI crude oil PKR 317.759 million, SP500 PKR 278.157 million, silver PKR 271.565 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 171.313 million, platinum PKR 159.106 million, DJ PKR 101.380 million, copper PKR 91.803 million, natural gas PKR 73.217 million and Brent crude oil PKR 8.756 million. In agricultural commodities, three lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.303 million were traded.
